Biography

Amanda Virginia "Jennie" Stanley was born in 1888. She was the daughter of Nancy M Bryant and Lewis Richard Stanley.

1900s

On 8 Mar 1904, Jennie married Silas Sylvester Dogan. Silas was the son of Mary and William Dogan.

On 27 Apr 1906, their daughter Grace May Dogan was born.

On 21 Jul 1909, their son Selma Jackson Dogan was born.

1910s

On 3 May 1910, Amanda V Dogan (22) lived in Amsterdam Township, Botetourt County with her husband Silas A (30), daughter Gracie M (4), and son Selma J (1). Silas and Amanda had been married five years; Amanda was the mother of two children both living. They were white and born in Virginia. Silas worked as a laborer on a general farm. [1]

Virginia was white, single, born in Botetourt County, daughter of S S and Amanda Stanley Dogan, and resided in Hollins. They were married by D A Thomas, minister of the Baptist church. [5]

In Jun 1947, their son Garland married Frances Louise Brickey. Frances was the daughter of Della and Frank Brickey.

In Feb 1948, their son R.H.D. married.

1960s

In Sep 1960, their son H.L.D. married.

1970s

She passed away in 1973.
