The funeral will be Sunday [14 Jan 1973] at 2 p.m. at Radar Funeral Chapel, Troutville, with burial in Riley Cemetery, Carvins Cove.

DOGAN, John Lovell
John Lovell Dogan, 92, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 24, 2014. He was preceded by his parents, Silas and Jennie Dogan; wife, Wilma Dogan; along with eight brothers and sisters.
Mr. Dogan served his country proudly in the United States Marines and United States Army during World War II and the Korean War. He was a local business owner for many years. A very loving dad, grand dad, great- granddad, and friend that will be dearly missed by all.
Surviving are his seven children, James Dogan and wife, Patty, Beverly Hofmann, Ozzie Dogan, Timothy Dogan and wife, Ruth, Rodney Dogan and wife, Donna, Cindy Dogan, and Yvonne Rowe; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth and husband, Andy, Shannon and husband, Cory, Nathanial, Alisha and husband, Ronnie, Johnathan, William and wife, Samantha, Chandra and husband, Santos, and Heather; five great-grandchildren, Samantha, Bronson, Oliviamae, Haven, and Lilian; and brothers, Leroy Dogan, and Bobby Dogan and wife, Frankie.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Salem VA Medical Center and Amedisys Hospice for all the care and support during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salem VA Medical Center, 1970 Roanoke Blvd., Salem, VA 24153 in his name.
A Graveside Service celebrating Mr. Dogan's life will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, January 27, 2014, in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Pastor Walter Wood officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday January 26, 2014, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home. Friends may send their condolences to the family at www.simpsonfuneral.com.
