Occupation: Soldier – Rhodesian Army: Service No. 730180
Demise: Killed in action on 20 April 1979 while serving as a Trooper with Support Commando, 1st Battalion, Rhodesian Light Infantry at Rhodesia (Operation Hurricane)Died of gunshot wounds during a skirmish with insurgent terrorists, aged 18 years. [1]
Burial: Andrew James Stanley was buried with full military honours at Athlone Cemetery, Bulawayo [2]
