Biography

Millis Stanley was born in Lansingburgh, New York, on December 31, 1887.^[1][2]

She married first, Meredith Grant about 1917. They settled in Orange, New Jersey. Meredith died in 1923, at the age of 38. Children from first marriage:^[3][4][5]

1. Margery H. Grant, born about 1918.^[4]
2. Bradford K. Grant, born about 1920.^[4]
3. Meredith Grant, Jr., born about 1921.^[5]

About 1927, Millie remarried to Clarence C. Schimmel, also of Orange, and brought her three Grant children to live at his home. Millie and Clarence had at least one child: ^[5][6]

Mrs. Millie Schimmel died on July 31, 1974, at the age of 86. She was buried at Rosedale Cemetery in Orange, New Jersey.
