Research Notes

Name - The Stanley family book[1] observes on page 302 that Eleanor (a sibling name mentioned in brother Titus Stanley's will and probate) and Phemie are likely the same person. On page 310 it says Phemie married Timothy Freeman. The Stanley book author didn't seem to have a full copy of the Titus Stanley will. However, a deeper reading of the will (search on HeritageQuest or finds mention of a Timothy Freeman on the distribution page for Eleanor. Thus, it seems certain that Eleanor and Phemie are the same person, and we also note that she and Timothy were married before January 1793 (date on the distribution page).
