Marine CPL Raymond Ernest Stanley was born on Feburary 17, 1947. He was the son of Jeanette A. Paquin of Manchester NY and Raymond F. Stanley.

His last known residence was Manchester, New Hampshire, United States.

He was killed in action during the Vietnam War on April 30, 1968 in Quang Tri, Vietnam.

He served with Company D, 1st Battalion, 9th Marines, 3d MARDIV (Rein).

CPL Stanley was buried in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Manchester, New Hampshire.
