On September 12, (year is not recorded), Charlie (44 - described as medium height, stout build, brown eyes and hair and worked as a farmer), registered for World War I, in Waurika, Jefferson County, Oklahoma[3].
In 1920, Charley S. (42 - worked as a farmer) lived in Price, Jefferson County, Oklahoma with his wife Tinnie E. (32), their daughter Nellie B. (17), their daughter Mernar B. (14 - name as it appears), their daughter Tommie E. (12 - name as it appears), their daughter Cecil M. (10), their daughter Alma F. (8), their son Alfred C. (5) and their son Claud S. (3)[4].
In 1940, Charley S. (62 - recorded as being born in Texas and worked as a common laborer) lived in Hewitt, Carter County, Oklahoma with his wife Tennessee (55 - recorded as being born in Texas) and their daughter Charline (15 - recorded as being born in Oklahoma)[5].
On April 26, 1942, Charley (no age recorded and described as 5' 8", brown eyes, gray hair, 165 lbs., a light complexion and a scar on the right side of his neck) registered for World War II, in Carter County, Oklahoma[6].
Charles Sellers Stanley (88) passed away on July 31, 1965, at Ardmore Hospital, in Carter County, Oklahoma and was buried in Hewitt Cemetery, in Wilson, Carter County, Oklahoma[7].
