Biography

Joseph Stanton was born on 13 May 1802 and baptised on 21 July 1802 in Falmouth, Cornwall, England. He was the son of William and Eleanor Stanton.

Joseph married Elizabeth Field on 25 August 1834 in Castlereagh, Colony of New South Wales. They had six children including:

1. John Stanton
2. Mary Ann Stanton
3. William Stanton
4. Elizabeth Field Stanton
5. Josiah Stanton

Joseph passed away on 19 November 1884 in Penrith, Colony of New South Wales, aged 82. He was buried in Emu Plains General Cemetery, Emu Plains, New South Wales.
