Biography
This James Stanton, born 23 Nov 1794 @ Stonington, Connecticut, was the sixth child of Susannah (Breed) & Joshua Stanton.
He married in 1829 Lucia Dee Stebbins [b. 14 Dec 1796 @ Wilbraham, Massachusetts, daughter of Mary Polly Charter (1761 - 1850) & David Stebbins (1750 - 1844)]. There were perhaps three or more children of this union:
- Howard Stanton (1832 - 1862)
- Judson A. Stanton (1834 - 1917) [1].
- Henry M. Stanton (1836 - 1837)
James Stanton died 1 Mar 1883. His grave is in Benton County Cemetery, Sauk Rapids, Benton County, Minnesota, USA [2].
