john, who lived on the Kanawka River, near Charleston, Virginia was born Jun 27, 1777; died Sept. 21, 1833 of Cholera. He married Sallie Whiteside in the year 1802. Sallie was the one who brought the family from Surry Co., N.C. To Otterville, Missouri in 1840.
