I just found a letter from his Sister that said Howard ultimately died from his Service in World War 1 I recently found out that he was in a Field Artillery Unit.
I don't know a lot about him other than he was a Teacher and played the violin he also served with Jack Black Pershing in World War 1. Turns out he was part of a Coastal Artillery Home Guard Unit called to active service headed to France. While there his Unit was broken up and sent into the ranks of the Regular Army.
