Lois, the second daughter and fourth of ten children of William Starrett and Lucy Baldwin was born 13 March 1804 at Warren, Maine.[1]
Lois married Johnson Thurston, son of Daniel and Susannah (Johnson) Thurston on 25 December 1824 at Union, Knox, Maine.[2]She and Johnson nine children:

In 1850, Lois (46 years) and Johnson (53 years), a Farmer, were living in Appleton, Maine with their five children: Charles (15), a farmer, Milton (13), Martha (7), Albert (3) and Irene (3).[9]
In 1870, Lois, 66 years of age and Johnson, 73 years, a Farmer, were residing in Appleton, Maine with grandson, William Leonard (14 years) and son Albert (23 years), a Cooper.[10]
Lois (Starrett) Thursdon died 28 July 1880 in her 76th year at Appleton, Maine and is buried beside her husband in Miller Cemetery at Burkettville, Knox, Maine.[11]
