Biography
Edwyn Henry Statham was born about 1809. He was a son of Edwyn Statham and Sophia unknown.
Edwyn migrated to the Colony of New South Wales, whereupon he became a successful pastoralist.
He married Elizabeth Cox, a daughter of Lieutenant James Cox of the 7th Light Dragoons, in 1838 in St John's Church of England (Anglican Church), Parramatta, New South Wales.[1] They had four children:
- Edwyn Joseph Statham (1840-1921)
- Henry Worthington Statham (1843-1913)
- Francis Marsh Statham (1845-1923)
- Maria Elizabeth Statham (1846-46)
He passed away on 17th January 1887 at Parramatta[2] and is buried in Rookwood Cemetery.[3]
