Benjamin Staton is presumed to have been born circa 1755, in Amherst County, Virginia.[1] His parents may have been Anne Curtis/Custis and Joseph Staton.
Circa 1785, in Rockbridge County, Virginia, Benjamin is presumed to have married Mary Wood.[1] They appear to have had at least 9-10 children.
Benjamin died on January 16, 1854, in Henderson, North Carolina. He is buried in Metcalf Family Cemetery, in Saluda, North Carolina.[1]
