WikiTree is different from other genealogy websites because our goal is to have one profile per person. That means we will all share ancestors and work together as a collaborative team! The Honor Code helps keep everything functioning smoothly as we work on our SHARED tree.
You should have received an email with links you can use to get started. Once you confirm your email address, you'll have an option to volunteer to add information to WikiTree. Begin with tags for your own profile. Tags are surnames, locations, concepts, etc. in which you're interested.
When you volunteer, one of our Greeters will confirm your membership. Then you'll be able to add to the tree!
You are now a confirmed member of WikiTree. Thanks for volunteering and enjoy getting to know our shared ancestors!
Not sure how to start? Visit How to Use Wikitree for instructions.
Our G2G forum is a great way to get to know our community! Join the fun with our Question of the Week: Question of the Week: What genealogy related statement would YOU like added to your obituary?
Looking for some great ways to help out our collective effort? The Volunteers Needed page is the place to go!
Someone will check back with you in a couple of days to see how things are going. Meanwhile, enjoy climbing our WikiTree!
