Anna "Charlotte," daughter of Rev. Samuel Paul Stauffer and Ella Nora "Ellie" Rebman, was born 20 September 1914 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.[1] In 1920 the family in Philadelphia included her parents Samuel (age 53, U.S. Customs clerk) and Ella Stauffer (41), Anne "Charlotte" (5), and her siblings Ruth D (17, telephone operator), Ethel Frances (15), Harold Fred (10), Paul P. (8) and Kenneth (3).[2]
In 1930 the Philadelphia household was composed of Samuel P. (age 64, custom house liquidator), Ella M. (51), Charlotte A. (15), and her siblings Harold F. (21, bank file clerk), Kenneth S. (13) and Ruth D. Viscity (27) and Ruth's husband Michael Viscity (35, shoe repair shop owner).[3]
She remained with her parents in 1940, when the household included Samuel (age 74), Ella (61), Charlotte (25, stenographer for an insurance firm). Ruth (35) and Paul (28, textile factory worker).[4]
Charlotte died 22 June 1997 and was buried at Arlington Cemetery in Drexel Hill, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.[5][4][1][5][2][3]
