According to Throsby (1797), Thomas Staunton married Anne, dau. of Thomas Pourment (Paramour).[1] They are the parents of Anthony.

Well, as we know, Burke isn't a reliable source. However, if they are different people, then one of them needs to be detached from John as his father.

Staunton-39 and Staunton-23 do not represent the same person because: answer to G2G post says "Burke has Thomas Staunton of Longbridge (= Margery) and Thomas Staunton of Staunton (=Anne) as two different people."

Staunton-39 and Staunton-23 appear to represent the same person because: same father and same date of death. I don't think two sons were named the same and died the same day. So they're either duplicates, or one of them needs to be detached from parents & given the correct date of death. Thanks.
