I've noticed that you've been creating some pre-1700 English profiles only using a geneanet tree, geni entry or family search person page as a source. Neither of these are considered reliable for pre-1700 English profiles. Here's a list of sources that will help you find reliable sources to add to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:England_Project_Reliable_Sources Cheers, Elizabeth co-leader England Project

Here's the link to the G2G question: https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/1506578/us-civil-war-january-2023-challenge
I Hope you'll join the fun.
On behalf of the England Project, I would like to thank you for all your contributions towards the project's goals. Every single contribution you make helps improve English profiles!
I'd also like to share our annual Newsletter with you. You can read it here: England Project Newsletters. We hope you enjoy reading a bit about what has gone on in 2022 and what our Project has achieved.
The England Project Leaders like to touch base with each of our members every 6 months just to make sure everything is going well. There's no need to reply to this message unless you have something you'd like to let us know about (e.g. if you would like to change your team choices or provide other feedback). We will be in touch with you again in the middle of next year when we do our annual check-in with project members.
On behalf of all the Leaders, I wish you a peaceful and productive 2023.
Best wishes,
Ian, England Project Leader

The Profile Improvement Project (PIP) is performing its first annual check-in with our project members. We are in the process of transitioning to a team structure. There will be three participant PIP Teams to start -- The Maintenance Category Team, the Unknowns Team, and the Biography Team. There is also the Voyage Team who guide new Voyagers. See the Profile Improvement Project Teams for a brief outline of each team. Please let us know which team(s) you would like to participate in.

If you're a member of the Google Group,* then you've heard that the Magna Carta Project has retired the Gateway Guardian initiative. Would you delete or replace your Gateway Guardian sticker please?
WikiTree has two relatively new stickers - Template:Relationship_Sticker and Template:Connection Sticker - that you might want to use if you're related to or connected to the Gateway. There's also the Template:Descendant sticker that you can use. To see tailored coding for these stickers (e.g., with the Magna Carta Project logo), please see Space: Magna Carta Stickers#sticker.
Thanks! Liz
* If you're not and would like to be, please send a request to https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/wikitreemagnacarta (be sure to include your WikiTree ID; the Google Group is no longer "Project members only", but it is restricted to WikiTree members).

Just a heads up about the Archer/Royall families - I'm working on sorting a ton of duplicates that arrange the families differently & it's taking WAY longer than I thought it would (doesn't help that I have to quit frequently to keep from triggering a migraine!).
Anyway - Mary Wood... I cannot find any evidence for a George Archer - [any given name] Wood marriage. FindAGrave for pre-1700 profiles is not a reliable source & the memorials for these folks don't have pictures or cite reliable sources. Wood Lineages is no longer at wvrebel.0catch.com/WOOD2.HTML#WOOD2 but it was captured by the WayBack Machine (15 Jan 2020) and I could not find any sources at all for the information on that site (on either the Wood tree or the Archer tree).
While there is a Mary Wood who was probably born c1630s, but she is named as daughter of Abraham/wife of Thomas Chamberlayne in Abraham's 1682 will, so she didn't die before 1682 and was not married to George Archer before her marriage to Thomas.
If you have any primary sources for these folks, please share!
Thanks! Liz
I wrote to you recently as part of the England Project's six-monthly check-in with our project members. I have not heard back from you. I hope you are well.
If you could please drop me a quick note to confirm whether you are still interested in the project and wish to remain an active member, that would be very helpful.
If we do not hear from you within the next 2 weeks, we will assume you are no longer active in the England Project and remove you from our list of project members. You would be most welcome to re-apply to join the project at a later time by signing-up on the project’s G2G welcome post.
Many thanks!
Joan, England Project Leader

We have to do the polling of members each 6 months. Many are active such as you, but others find they are inactive.
Have a good six months.
Mary ~ Project Coordinator, Membership for Southern Colonies.
On behalf of the US Southern Colonies Project Leaders, I am doing a check-in with members to see if you were Active in the US_Southern_Colonies (US SoCOL) in the last two months. (If you do not know which team you are on, then contact me for clarification)
Examples of activity for Southern Colonies might be Teams, Bio Builders, Quality Assurance, Sourcing, Profiles, Stickers for Southern Colonies, Categories for Southern Colonies, Managed Profiles, PPP profiles, Arborists, Data Doctors for Southern Colonies
Please notify me of this activity by clicking reply or you can post a message on my page here: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Richardson-7161
Thanks for your help.
Mary ~ Project Coordinator, Membership
I would to thank you for all your contributions towards the goals of the England Project during the past six months. We've achieved a huge amount during this period and we couldn't have done it without you and our other project members.
As the England Project Leaders, we are completing our six monthly check-in with all project members.
Are you happy to stay in your current project teams? Which teams are you most active in? Are there other teams you would like to join or become more active in?
Also, do you have any feedback on what the project is doing well and anything we could do better in the future?
Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message. I look forward to hearing from you.
Many thanks!
Joan, England Project Leader
I sent you a message a couple of weeks ago on behalf of the Germany Project and have not yet heard back from you. I hope you are well!
If I don’t hear back from you by the end of April, I will assume you no longer wish to be a member of the Germany Project and I’ll go ahead and remove you from our member roster. You are, of course, welcome to rejoin at any time via our G2G sign-up post.
Best wishes,

It’s time for a Project check-in!
Scotland Project Leaders check in with you at least once a year to see how you are doing. With the changes happening around the world, we understand that life is hectic right now.
What are you planning to work on for the Scotland Project this year? Are you happy with the team(s) you part of, or would you like to make some changes?
This time round, we’re also looking for feedback on the use of Google Group and Discord. Do you use one or both of these? If you don’t use either of them, what is the best way to ensure you receive Project communications? If you would like to join us on Google Group or Discord, let us know in your response.
It's that time of the year again: check-in time! As England Project Leaders, we like to check in with you every six months or so to see how things are progressing. Back in May, we didn't ask for a response due to the rapid emergence of Covid-19 because we understood that people's lives were changing rapidly. While we are still living in a Covid world, we do need to hear back from you this time around
First of all, how are you doing? What are you currently working on? Are you happy with the team(s) you're in, or would you like to change things up?
Secondly, we're looking for some feedback on the Google Group and our Discord server. Do you use either or both of these? If you don't use either, why not? Do you have any suggestions on how we can improve participation and collaboration, either generally or for you personally?
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Lizzie, Amy, Joan
England Project Leaders
The Appreciation Team Leaders are completing the six-month check in with all team members. Thank you for all your work thanking and appreciating WikiTree members.
I see you aren’t signed up for a task on our team Task List. Please let me know what you’re working on, so we can add it to the list. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Appreciation_Team:_List_of_Tasks. Or let me know if the Appreciation Team is no longer something you can keep up with.
Thank you again on behalf of all the Project Leaders for everything you do.
Emma :-)
On behalf of the Germany Project, I am currently undergoing our member check-in's and wanted to verify that you are still interested in being a member of the project. Are you currently assigned to or working with one of our Sub-projects or Teams? We have many new teams so have a look on the Germany project page for the full list. I would be delighted to help you get setup in one or more of our collaborative teams!
We use Google groups for project collaboration, so if you are not yet setup, please submit a join request and we will get that approved as quickly as possible. We also ask that you check your followed tags to make sure you are following the correct project tag (GERMANY) so you don't miss any discussions in G2G.
We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hardwork. If you have any questions please ask. I would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project!
Please respond by private message. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Kylie ~ Germany Project Leader
The Ambassadors project has been reorganizing and is looking for those who have a membership at a genealogical society, to help in spreading the word about WikiTree.
We're working on ways to improve how WikiTree connects and interacts with genealogical and local history societies. This is the kind of thing we want to do:
Are you interested in participating in some way? Do you have some ideas to share?
Azure Rae ~ co-Leader of Ambassadors Project
We'd love to have you join the Twisted Thistles in the upcoming Connect-a-thon the weekend of July 17 - July 20. If you'd like to join us and help to develop our ever-expanding Scottish tree, please register on the G2G post here and be sure to mention you'd like to be on the Twisted Thistles team for Scotland.
We also have our team Chat page posted here.
Thank you for your message. I've added the Palatine Migration badge to your profile and left the Germany project badge there. But when I signed you up for the Palatine project, I enrolled you in our Google group but I did not enroll you in the Germany project Google group. Here is the link to join them, if you haven't already done so: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/wikitreegermanroots
Best regards,
Dave
Through your help I now understand my connection to a grave with my surname located in my city (in New Zealand). Wow what a wealth of information Wikitree holds. Thanks a lot, Mike
As you may have seen, we have been doing some restructuring in the US Southern Colonies Project and are now organising ourselves into different teams. We have also changed the criteria for membership. Please have a look at the new project pages, and let me know whether you would like to remain in the project and, if so, which team(s) you would like to be in.
Please can you also send me your e-mail address. I can then make sure you are introduced to your Team Leaders and are in the Google Group.
Please note that it is a requirement for membership in the US Southern Colonies Project that you respond to these check-ins. We’re really excited for the future of the project and hope that you decide to be a part of it with us moving forwards.
Many thanks,
Susie, US Southern Colonies Project Co-Leader
Thanks for the information on Margaret, I updated her profile https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/UNKNOWN-57483 It still does not work because she would have been under 10 years old when her daughter Elizabeth was born.
