Hi Ceejae

How is it going so far, were the Member How-Tos pages helpful or did they leave you with questions?

Clicking your green tags shows members who follow that tag. Add tags other family surnames, for locations. The tags link you to the community sourcing & research options Information on tags is on page one of the How To pages.

We want to help you learn about the site and the community, hopefully you found the pages and links useful.

Questions click my name & ask in the comment box on my page or post in the G2G Forum (see Help top right of your Profile

Suggested tags to add GERMAN_ROOTS & US_HISTORY

Hi CeeJae,

Thank you for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Participation in a Pre-1700 Project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Collaboration is essential because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants.

It looks like the German Roots would be a good fit with the tag you entered. Adding the tag German_Rootswill help you get updates about activity for that project.

Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)

Hi CeeJae

Thanks for volunteering, we are glad that you joined us! You are now a full member of the WikiTree community, and can now start adding your family.

You will be surprised how many people we have here!!

For helpful tips to get you on your way, please start with our New Member How-To pages.

I think you will enjoy the experience once you get comfortable being here. I know I have! Good luck and see you in the branches.

It's laudable that you don't want to make mistakes that would mess up other people's contributions, Jo. Fortunately, all changes WikiTree are logged, so mistakes (everyone makes some!) can be corrected.

it would be wonderful if you could add the recent generations of your family to our shared tree here. If you joined us, you could start by adding profies for your parents, grandparents, etc. (and some of these profiles likely would be kept private). In the process of doing that, I think you would learn a lot about how WikiiTree works, and reduce the chance of mistakes if you contribute to existing profiles.  :-)

Jo, is there a reason why you haven't taken the next steps to become a member of WikiTree? It's FREE! And because I can see that you have an ongoing interest in your genealogy and a desire to do quality work, I think you would fit in well here.

Hello Jo,

Welcome to WikiTree. By now you should have received an email with helpful links to get you started on adding your family to ours.

WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person and we work together to achieve that goal.

If you would like to join us confirm your email address, then indicate your willingness to share your family with ours. by filling out the Tags and comments on your profile page.

Once you volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and youÂ’ll be on your way!

Happy hunting,
