Henrietta was born in 1809 in Connecticut, the daughter of Simon and Vienna (Barns) Stearns.
Henrietta married David Rogers. They had at least seven children.
In 1850, she was 41, and lived in Watervliet, Albany, New York. The household included David Rogers, 42, a farmer, born in CT; his wife Henrietta, 41, b. CT; their seven children: Vincent G., 18, b. NY, a weaver; Henriette, 16, b. MA; David W., 14, b. NY, in school; Gilbert S., 12 b. MA, in school; Egbert G., 10, b. MA, in school; Cornelia A., 6, b. MA, in school; and Lucy A., 7 months, b. NY. Also living with the family was Vienna B. Van Curren, 20, b. MA, and married within the year; and Henrietta Rogers’ father, Simon Stearns, 65, b. Rhode Island, a tailor (his wife died the previous year). Living nearby was Henrietta’s brother, Simon’s son, Marcus Stearns and his family.
