Austin was the son of William Abdell Stebbins and Mary E Stuart. [1] He was raised in Manatee, Manatee, Florida. [2] Austin graduated from Detroit College of Law. He served in the military during World War I. [3] In 1920, he lived with his parents in Zephyrhills, Pasco, Florida. [4] He married Madeline Ransom. [5] Their children were:

They lived in Detroit, Wayne, Michigan. [6] Austin and Madeline divorced in 1939. [7] After his father died, Austin married his stepmother, Dora Meads in1942. [8] and became stepfather to his half-siblings. In 1942, Austin lived in Chicago, Cook, Illinois. He was self-employed. He weighed185 pounds and was 6'1" tall. His complexion was light with hazel eyes and brown hair. [9] Austin died in 1974 [10] and is buried in Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, Rock Island County, Illinois. [11]
