Steel-3133 and Steel-1049 do not represent the same person because: I have concerns about Steel-1049. The death date is listed as 1830 although George Gano's wife Jane was still living at the time of her husband's probate in 1831. She is listed as having a son John S. with George Gano, but John S. is listed as being born in 1820, 4 years before her marriage to George (yeah, I know stuff happens, but...), John S. is listed as half-brother to John Samuel Gano even though John S. and John Samuel had the same parents. John S. Gano (Gano-98) and John Samuel Gano (Gano-351) are NOT the same people based on spouses and death dates.
Steel-3133 and Steel-1049 are not ready to be merged because: Steel-1049 has what I believe are incorrect birth and death dates. Although I do not have a contemporary birth record, Census records for 1840, 1850, and 1860 support a birthdate around 1794 instead of 1804. The death date of 1830 is incorrect as she is in the above census records, living with or near her children. Adding additional documentation to Steel-3133 in support of the listed information.
