Biography

(Steele-10368) Mary Madeline Steele Johnson was born in 1913. She was the only child of (Steele-1036 Jesse Hugh Steele and (Cowan-5168) Niffie Cowan Steele to be born in a hospital, The hospital in Decatur, Adams, Indiana was open shortly before her birth. She had manacular degeneratiion and had a caretaker for several years in Middletown ,Ohio. When she developed Altzeimer';s her son, Kent, found an apartment and a caretaker for her in South Haven<Michigan where he lives.,Her house in Middletown, Butler, Ohio was sold.. My husband and I visited he Michigan shortly before she died. It was so sad to she someone with so full of life and caring to be in the condition she was in. She died in 2002. She is buried along side of her husband in Jennings County, Indiana.
