Biography
(Steele-10940)Robert Nelson Steele was the son of(Steele-10932) Samuel Sands Steele and his wife (Worley-3198) Susannah H Worley Steele. He was born in 1854 and died in 1942. He married(Stevens-23942) Harriet Permilla Stevens Steele and (Stevens-23941)Minnie F Stevens Steele. Obituary-Decatur Daily Democrat MRS. ROY VENIS' FATHER SUMMONED Robert N. Steele Dies at Convoy O., and Funeral Will Be Tuesday Robert N. Steele, 88, father of Mrs. Roy Venis, of this city, died at 4 p.m. Saturday at his home in Convoy, O., following an illness of three weeks. Death was due to infirmities of age. Born in Adams county, Feb. 24, 1854, the decedent was the son of Samuel and Suzanne Worley Steele. His first marriage was to Minnie F. Stevens and the second marriage was to Harriett Stevens. Surviving are the widow; daughter and two sons from the first marriage, Mrs. Venis, of Bluffton, Roy Steele, of Decatur, and George Steele, near Decatur; two daughters and a son from the second marriage, Cleo of Rockford, Mrs. Maxine Barkley, of Monroeville, and John Steele, near Convoy. A daughter, Mrs. Emma Kesler, is deceased. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Convoy, O., and the body will be returned to Peterson in Adams county for burial in the Beery cemetery.
