Mrs. Cora E Paul, 88, of 549 Sunset Rd., died at 6 am Tuesday at Schoitz hospital of a ruptured aorta. She became ill at 3 pm Monday.

Mrs. Paul was born Nov. 14, 1874, in Bennington Township, the daughter of John M. and Marie Haffa Steely. She moved with her parents to Waterloo in 1886.

She was married to Albert D. Paul on feb 28, 1895, in Waterloo. She was a member of Grace Methodist Church.

Surviving are a son, Harold D. Paul of 706 Prospect Blvd; a daughter, Mrs. Roy M. rook, of Cedar Rapids; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preced in death by her parents, seven brothers, husband, and one son, Ray Paul.

Services will be at 1:30 pm Thursday at the Parrott & Wood Funeral Home. Dr. C. H. Pettersen, Pastor of Grace Mehtodist Church, will officiate.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 pm, Wednesday. Donations may be made to the Grace Methodist memorial fund.
