DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:
Katharine, can you give actual sources that Jane Moore was the daughter of Goyen Moore? Please review my comment on Jane Moore Steen's profile. Goyen Moore's daughter is Jean Moore, as shown in the actual sources that I provided. Goyen Moore had numerous land deeds in North Carolina and South Carolina and Goyen Moore's descendants moved there due to the outbreak of the French-Indian war that began in 1754. https://goyengoinggowengoyneandgone.com/1752-gideon-smith-1752-1783-m-jean-steen-1755/
