Gerald was born in 1924. He was the son of Willis Steeves and Vera Douthwright. He passed away in 2006.
OBITUARY Gerald Howard Steeves, 82 of Hillsborough, formerly of Albert Mines, passed away on July 24, 2006 at the Moncton Hospital after a lengthy illness. Gerald was born in Albert Mines on May 30, 1924 the son of the late Willis and Vera (Douthwright) Steeves. Gerald was a carpenter and enjoyed doing woodwork. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, gardening and he spent many hours driving the back roads of Albert County. Gerald was a special man who will never be forgotten. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Shirley; his three daughters, Marilyn Bissonnette (Gerry) of Saco, Maine, Gail Morabito (Brian) of Westbrook, Maine, and Beverly Richmond (Roger) of Freeport, Maine; by his sister, Mavis Estabrooks of Cumberland, Maine; and by his five grandchildren, Daniel, Emily, Peter, Molly and Abby. The family will be meeting with relatives and friends on Wednesday from 1pm until the time of the service. The funeral service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at 2pm with Pastor Paul Steeves officiating. Interment will take place in the Albert Mines Baptist Cemetery, Albert Mines.
