Catherine was born on 3 December 1833 in New Brunswick, Canada. She was the daughter of Ephraim Steeves and Jane Ann (Mitton) Steeves.^[1]

When Catherine was 22 she married in May 1856 in Moncton, Westmorland County, New Brunswick, Canada.

In the 1891 census Catherine (age 57) was living in Moncton, Westmorland, New Brunswick, Canada. Age: 57Marital Status: Married; Relation to Head of House: Wife^[1]

Catherine died at the age of 76 on 27 February 1910 in Moncton.

Catherine was buried after 27 February 1910 in Boundary Creek Cemetery.^[2]
