Biography

When Joel Steeves was born in 1798, in New Brunswick, Canada, his father, Johannes John Steves, was 47 and his mother, Anna Margaretha Lutz, was 43. He married Mary Smith on 4 January 1821, in Hillsborough, Albert, New Brunswick, Canada. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 2 daughters. He lived in Hillsborough, Albert, New Brunswick, Canada for about 10 years. He died on 6 March 1871, at the age of 73, and was buried in Hillsborough, Albert, New Brunswick, Canada.
