Biography

Anna was born before 1853. (Estimated by child's birth date.)

Her son Mihaly was born in Paszab in 1869 July 5th. (His birth record has not yet been located, his marriage record notes his birthdate).

He married Zsuszanna Szilvási on Jan 11th 1900 in Paszab, Szabolcs in Hungary (Magyarország). There is no father listed on the marriage record. Anna is noted to be deceased. ^[1]

On an immigration record for Mihaly Stefan, it is noted that he has a brother, Mihaly Zalorszmede (sp?).

There is a death record in Paszab for an Anna Stefan in October of 1872 at the age of 33, when her child was 3, of unknown causes. Her birth year would have been 1839 according to this. This record was written on Sept 12th 1916. She was greek catholic & her parents names were Mihaly and Anna Hlavati (nehai Stefán Mihály, nehai Hlavati Anna) ^[2]

This Anna Stefan was born to Anna Hlavati and Mihaly Stefan in 1839 in what is now Trebisov, Slovakia. ^[3] It should be noted that the couple named another child Anna in 1858, something which would generally only occur if a child had died.

Since she did not marry, nor does the child have a father written on records, it cannot be confirmed that these Anna's are the same, however it is suggested by the death record.
