According to GRO data, there is a George Henry Steggles born at the end of 1873 and baptised in St Nicholas Church, Rattlesden, Suffolk in March 1874.

The original GED import had birth About 1870.

Census records from 1911 show he was unmarried, but there is a later marriage record in 1916 to Caroline Punchard which is assumed relevant here.
