Synopsis:

Robert Spencer married Catherine Sternberger (Sternberg, Steinberg) on 03 Dec 1761 in Stone Arabia, New York at the Reformed Church. The record gives her father as Adam Sternberger and as Sternberg. The Spencer family lost its land in Montgomery Co., NY during the Rev. War for being loyalist and the family moved to the Niagara Falls region of Canada. They had probably six children: Adam, Robert, Jacob, Abigail, Elizabeth and Sarah. All were born probably in Montgomery County, NY.
