John Steiner was born on 3 Apr 1778 in Westmoreland, Pennsylvania, USA. His parents were apparently Jurg Valentin Steiner and Eva Anna Catharina Beyer/Boyer, originally from the Utzendorf Canton of Switzerland.
He married Christina Wentzel around 1800 and their confirmed children were:
