Parmelia was, in fact, a daughter of John Stephens and wife Ann S. of Monroe County, Missouri, but John Stephens' mother was not Martha Faulkner. His father was possibly a son of Martha's husband, John Stephens, no evidence supports this. John may have been born about 1792, but no evidence support Clark County KY as a birthplace. I have don indepth research on this family and have an upcoming journal article proving that John Stephens of Monroe County, Missouri, was not the son of JOhn and Martha Stephens of Franklin Co KY.
