Biography

Leona Stephenson was born on 13 Aug 1863 in Ackerman, Choctaw, Mississippi, United States, the son of John Thomas Stephenson and Mariah Frances "Mona" (Kirkpatrick) Stephenson.

In the 1870 census Leona (age 6) was in Choctaw, Mississippi, United States.^[1]

Research Notes

Leona Stephenson is said, in various Ancestry trees, to have died 1 July 1930, which is consistent with his last appearance in the census (about 13 Apr 1930 in Bolivar, MS) but no record for his death or burial could be found in Ancestry or FamilySearch. - Díaz-2569 19:33, 30 September 2023 (UTC)
