He was noted as a teacher, born 1842 in Georgia and married as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Eudora V Stevenson, son James M Stevenson, daughter Eudora V Stevenson, son Graves F and son Mell.[3]

James M Stephenson was enumerated as head of the household in Panthersville, Redan, DeKalb County, Georgia for the June 14, United States Census, 1900. He was noted as a school teacher and born October 1841 in Georgia. He had been married twenty-nine years and was an owner as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Endora Stephenson, daughter Margaret Stephenson, daughter Tinie D Stephenson, son George R Stephenson and father-in-law Graves H Weaver.[4]

James M Stephenson was enumerated as head of the household at Carrollton, Carroll County, Georgia for the April 26, United States Census, 1910. He was noted as born 1842 in Georgia and had been married thirty-nine years. He was a teacher (school) and an owner as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Eudora Stephenson and son George B Stephenson.[5]

James M Stephenson was enumerated as head of the household at 14 Long View Street, Carrollton, Carroll County, Georgia for the January 29, United States Census, 1920. He was noted as born 1842 in Georgia and married. He was an owner and a teacher (public school) as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Endora V Stephenson and son George Stephenson.[6]

James Madison Stephenson died May 2, 1925 in Carrollton, Carroll County, Georgia. He was married. His wife was listed as Udeva Stephenson.[1]
