Biography

William, born about 1855, was the son of Samuel Stephenson and Alice Sill.^[1] He may have been a coal miner living in Hutton Henry, Durham, with his wife Isabella and two children in 1881.^[2] Some time before 1887 William travelled to Australia, where Isabella and the family joined him in January 1887. He died there in1919. ^[3]
