William Thomas Stephenson was born about 1842 in Kentucky ^{[1] [2]} to parents Robert R Stephenson and Malinda Manerva Painter.

He married Susan Malissa Peay on December 25, 1867 in Ohio County, Kentucky. ^[3]

William died June 15, 1898 in Magazine, Logan County, Arkansas. ^[4]
