Biography

Margaret Stephenson was born John Stephenson and Jean(unknown)Fleming. on December 24,1760. Margaret is mentioned in the will of her father John Stephenson of Bullock Creek, York County, South Carolina in 1773.

Margaret Stephenson became the second wife of David Dickey who had a two hundred plantation on the headwaters of Bullock Creek in York County,South Carolina[1]

David Dickey and Margaret Stephenson sold their plantation on Bullock's Creek in 1789 and went to Livingston County,KY where Margaret Stephenson Dickey died on April 29,1814.[2]

Stephenson-1504 and Stephenson-629 appear to represent the same person because: Same husband, same birth, marriage, and death dates and places. Birth name was actually Stinson, but was Anglicized to Stephenson. She is one of the daughters of Andrew John Stinson

Stephenson-1504 and Stinson-1077 appear to represent the same person because: Same birth and death dates and places. Stinson was original name, switched to Stephenson at some point.
