Biography
Fred Lee Stephenson was born on 7 Aug 1894 in Star City, Lincoln, Arkansas, United States, son of Leona Stephenson (1863–~1930) and Minnie Hollman (1872–1958).
In 1900, Fred (5) was living in household of Lee Stephenson (37 years) in Cane Creek Township, Lincoln with his mother, Minnie (28 years), Fred Stephenson (6 years), and Clara Stephenson (4 years).[1]
In 1910, Fred (15) was living in Beat 1, Choctaw with his parents, Leona (49) and Minnie (40); and Fred Stephenson (15), Garland Stephenson (8), and Wilbur Stephenson (0).[2]
Fred registered for the draft for World War I.[3] He served as a bugler in the US Navy for two hitches, 1917-1919 and 1921-1923.[4]
Fred (29) married Edna Lee Landrum (22) (born on 21 Mar 1901) on 20 Dec 1923 in Attala, Mississippi.[5][6] They had at least three children, including William Leon Stephenson (1927–1967).
In 1950, Fred (55) was living in Clarksdale, Coahoma with his wife, Edna L (48 years); and Fred L Stephenson (54 years), and Fred L Stephenson, Jr (19 years). [7]
Fred died on 4 Dec 1962, probably in Coahoma, aged about 68.[4][8]
