George Wallace Stepp, 62, owner and operator of George’s Overhead Doors, died suddenly December 6, 2008. Born in Charleston, West Virginia, he was one of fourteen children of the late Webster and Nora Katherine Martin Stepp. He was an Army veteran, having served in the Vietnam War, and was a member of Sedley Baptist Church where he enjoyed singing in the choir and serving as a substitute Sunday school teacher. He was a faithful husband and father for 36 years. He truly loved the Lord and will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Gail Arvay Stepp; his daughter, Abby S. McMichael of Sedley; four sons, John Stepp and wife, Jennifer, of Windsor, Andrew Stepp, Michael Stepp and Nathaniel Stepp, all of Sedley; five grandchildren, Kiana, Kenny, Zachary and Lauryn McMichael and Alyssa Stepp; twelve brothers and sisters and a host of nieces and nephews.
