Lydia Washburn and Abel Stetson had children, including:
Martha “Matta” Stetson, born on 4 Dec. 1765 in Pembroke,[5] married Benjamin Bates, of Hanover, MA, on 3 Mar. 1786 in Pembroke.[6] They possibly had 3 daughters by 1790, and were living in Hanover in the 1790 federal census [7]
Death
She possibly died on 26 Feb. 1849 [A] in Hanover, aged 87 [sic] years,[8] and he was living in an elderly and insane house in Hanover, MA, in the 1850 federal census.[9]
He died on 22 Apr. 1853 in Hanover, aged 92 years, 6 months,[10] but no probate records were filed for his estate in Plymouth County.
