A. Cheri Hallisey found Edwin mentioned in Civil War letters written by his father Jeremiah Stetson to wife Happy Smith). Census Records have him living in Plymouth Massachusetts in 1865 [5]
  • The Edwin Ferdinand Stetson who lived in Old Town Maine and had a son Edwin is not the same Edwin LeForrest Stetson son of Jeremiah
B. According to O.F. Stetson, he disappeared 50 years before the publication of the Stetson Kindred books. [1])
