Research Notes
Stetson Kindred Genealogical Index: 1-1-2-5-8-5-5
A. There are one year discrepancies between the years recorded in The Descendants [4] and in FamilySearch.org for Amasa's children. The time frame is well after the calendar switch, and the various source documents are fairly clear. I've used the Kindred dates here, and the written source records on the family profiles -- rsl - Apr 2020.
B. 5 of his children eventually settled in Seattle, Washington, where they established a very successful Lumber Mill, Stetson & Post Milling/Lumber Co. There is a large memorial to Amasa and his wife Sarah (Thorndike) Stetson in the Lakeview Cemetery, in Seattle. [21]
