Hopestill was born in Plymouth, MA on May 21, 1715 ^[1] to Elisha and Abigail (Brewster) Stetson ^[2] She was christened in Kingston, MA on 19 Mar 1721.^[3]

She married John Simmons in Kingston on 21 October 1736.^[4]
