Apparently separated and divorced from Almira after 1841 and prior to 1848, when she remarried Francis W. Prindle of Genesee. The 3 children were living with Francis and their mother, and were listed in the 1855 Census of Genesee, New York. [4]

Unknown rank but was a Veterinarian, considered an excellent judge of horses, and purchased large numbers for the government during the Civil War. [3]
Death
Died in Nov 1865. single, age 48, of consumption, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, [1] contracted while in the service. Died at brother Benajah's house aged 48 years [3] and is buried at Lawnview Cemetery, Rockledge, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, USA [6]
