Louis Stetzer, employed a good many years in Henry meat markets, was severely hurt a few days ago while harnessing one of the most gentle and tractable horses. When Louis threw the harness on the animal, it began to rear and strike in a perfect fury. Louis was thrown under the horse's feet and trampled unmercifully. Fortunately help was near in the person of Patsey Jennings, who has been traveling with Richard Joles and the horse was taken from the stall and Louis helped to his feet and a doctor called. Had the horse been sharp shod or no help at hand instead of a severe injury we should have had a tragedy to record. All will hope with us that our friend will soon be able to resume wonted tasks.[10]
Louis E. Stetzer, the faithful "Louie" employed with the Hartley meat market, has for a week now been taking an enforced vacation because of a cold settling or a strain in his back.[11]
