George Steuart is a member of Clan Stewart.

George Steuart was born on 3 October 1821. He was the son of Lt.-Col. George Mackenzie Steuart and his wife Mary Babington.

He was Brigadier-General of the Royal Company of Archers.

George Steuart was married to widow Susan Alexander McAlpine (the daughter of James McAlpine), on 9 November 1865^[1]:
