Oosterbuir could mean he was born in or from Germany, but...could also mean it was a so called Buurtschap named 'Oosterburen' (Oosterbuijr) there was one at Schiermonnikoog and it's possible there was one in Drenthe as well, still searching for ot if it maybe was something like that ... :)

Also in Groningen was one buitenplaats named Oosterburen, so it's possible he was born there as well of course ...
