Rosa Jane was born in Newhaven, East Sussex; in 1886.^[1][2]

Marriages

According to the 1921 Census of Canada, Rosa emigrated to Canada in 1912. On the 3rd of March, 1916, at the age of 29, "Rosie Jennett Stevens" married Oliver Barton William Ough at Toronto, York, Ontario.^[3]

Oliver died on 22 Jul 1919,^[4] leaving her widowed at the age of 34, with one son; Richard Ough.

In 1923, Rosa Married John Brooker^[5], and had two more sons: John Brooker and Graham Peter Brooker.

Death

Rosa died in 1963 at Eastbourne, Sussex.

Research Notes

In the 1939 Census, Rosa's birthdate is mistakenly transcribed as 30 Apr 1898. While the "30" appears to be correct, it can be seen that the month is given as Sept. The 2 digit year of birth, transcribed as "98" is not clear at all, so I have used the Registration of Birth year, 1886, as the correct year.
