There appear to be no Stevens in the 1747 survey of Rillaar.
They had several children in Rillaar. According to the hand-written index of the parish register:
Petrus 20 Jul 1744. link. Godparents Petrus Smets and Maria Stevens.
Maria Catharina. 25 Aug 1746. link. Godparents Andreas Mijnkens and Maria Rockle.
Anna 28 Mar 1749 (index incorrectly says 1748) link. Godparents Henricus Stevens and Anna Bruijninckx.
Maria Elisabeth 19 Feb 1752. link. Godparents [Henricus?] Stevens and Elisabetha Maria Jansen[s].
Maria Catharina 26 Feb 1755. link. Godparents Henricus Iseborghs and Catharina Wuijdts.
It seems that Jan was related to Henricus Stevens and Maria Rocole, a couple having children at about the same time in Rillaar.
The marriage of Joannes Stevens and Maria Smets happened 14 January 1744 in Rillaar. The 2 witnesses appear to have both been named Henricus Stevens.[1]
At his death, it was mentioned that he was the husband of Maria Smets.

It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Jan by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Jan:
